| simply applied a thin bead of black silicone around the controllers (after I set them into the plate, flush in front) and let it cure overnight, then applied a thicker bead the next day to add strength and support. I made the plate so it fit inside the right and left ridges on the back side of the console and butted up against the top. I laid some silicone down all around the edges where the plate mated up. Once it set overnight I laid another coat of silcone to add additional support and strength so the plate would not flex away from the console. I used flat black paint for the plate and since the silcone was shiny I made sure not to get any on the front. The hardest part was slowly trimming the ID of the lexan to mate up with the curves of the two controllers I had already stuck together. I figured if it didn't turn out there was always the local high end custom stereo shop.
